SALISBURY FIRE RESCUE IN THE MEDIA |
Published Friday March 7th, 2008 Appeared on page A4 of Times Transcript A Colpitts Settlement home was damaged in a house fire early yesterday morning. Salisbury Fire Chief David Bannister says the Fire Department got a call around 4 a.m. from a married couple who live on Douthwright Road. "They heard crackling in the ceiling and thought there might be a fire in the attic," says the chief. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control quickly and contained the damage. Bannister said the home wasn't extensively damaged, but it may be enough that the couple will have to temporarily vacate the premises while it's repaired. The investigating determined the fire started in the chimney. |
